It's hard to sell pineapples if you can't bring them to the market.
In the developing world bicycles are common tools for getting around and for carrying things. Nonetheless, our experience in the field in Africa or other developing countries is that the technology locally available isn't optimal: poor quality, weak parts, and curiously because that's what THEY NEED the most, limited loading capacity. The Mundo Utility Bike is designed to promote affordable, scaleable transportation for cargo and people, particularly for developing parts of the world that rely heavily on human-powered mobility in rugged conditions.
Users include:
-developing world entrepreneurs who can carry more with their bike and therefore increase their daily income
-health workers delivering medicine, health messages or mosquito nets
-charitable organizations or NGO's, who need a method of transportation for their staff and volunteers
